am i ready for this?

in 11 days i am running a race. nothing extravagant like a lot of people have done, such as a marathon, or even a half-marathon. i am running 5 miles. yep, 5 miles. but for someone like me, who is not a runner and really only does it to keep in shape, 5 miles is a LOT. i've been running, working my way up, and it sucks. my feet hurt, my legs hurt. really, i have nothing to complain about though, because i am only running 5 miles, not 13.1 or 26.2. {i'm not sure you'll ever hear me say i'm running a half marathon}. we will see how these 5 go to see if i have any desire to run more on another occasion. i'm doing this with my roommate alisa, friend brooke, and friend grayson. alisa and i are running the 5 miles while the other two are being troopers and running the half. so i think it'll be good to have a running buddy, but i also think she might leave me in the dust. i enjoy running when i have things to vent and think about. but running 5 miles just to run 5 miles, no thanks. what was i thinking? maybe how fun it would be to go to moab since i've never been. or that it might be fun to run in an actual race. who knows. haha, i'm sure it won't be that bad, i hope. i will post about it and let you know.

It is so beautiful the miles will fly by! It is mostly flat/downhill. I only remember one hill in the half-marathon. Hopefully the hill is before you start running :)

Good Luck! You'll do great! Enjoy the scenery, going through Moab is my new favorite way to get to Powell! So Beautiful. By the way, your cruise looked like a ton of fun. You little hottie!
